Are you one of those people who loves flash? One of those people who want a full blown flash website? Then you might also have heard that a flash website will make your business melt away because flash isn’t search engine friendly.

Let me tell you this. It’s a lie.

You can have a  flash website and you can have it score high in the google and yahoo search ranking. Let’s tell you how.

There is a technique when you embed flash movies that are search engine friendly and white hat! (White hat means that it’s an ethical method). 

The method is called swfobject which means you embed the flash movie and use alt content. This means that people who don’t have flash will be advised to download flash but also able to read your site without having to download it.  However it’s not as easy as it sounds. You want to update your flash-text and html text at the same time so some xml and action script coding is necessary but it’s probably what you want to see anyway when you have a flash site.

Okay. This was short. But it feels important to tell all you guys who believes the flash haters out there that you can have a search engine friendly flash site.
